The Journey to Greatness Begins with Partnerships

Beginning in 2004, with federal funding from the Health Resources Services Administration (http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/nursing/07abstracts/nepr.htm#wi), Marquette University College of Nursing joined forces with healthcare organizations to be thought leaders in the development of best practice that addresses the unique needs of newly licensed nurses. The Wisconsin Nurse Residency Program Project advances solutions that help new graduates manage the steep learning curve and build clinical competency throughout the first year of practice.

Marquette University’s College of Nursing has been a pioneer in collaborating with healthcare partners to advance solutions for our shrinking nurse workforce. Marquette University is a premier Jesuit higher education institution committed to the search for truth, the discovery and sharing of knowledge, the fostering of personal and professional excellence, the promotion of a life of faith, and the development of leadership expressed in service to others through a rigorous liberal education.
